Our philosophy
At Faith School, we believe a child learns best through his/her own explorations, experiences and discoveries. We will provide the manipulative tools in an environment of loving guidance and positive discipline, which enables a child to explore, discover, compare, group, solve, remember and imagine. Faith School will take every opportunity to teach children through natural events and examples. Our classrooms include learning centers, which allow children to select from several activities, stimulating all areas of development.
Our Values
Your Child's Development
At Faith School, we recognize that each child is unique, with an individual pattern for growth and development. We provide an environment in which children can grow at his/her own pace by exploring, creating, testing, observing - and by watching others. The daily schedule is organized to meet the children’s need for a balance of active/quiet play, large and small group interaction, academic and developmental learning, and indoor and outdoor time. Our methods, combined with what you teach your child, form the foundation on which they become lifelong learners on a journey filled with questioning instead of just answering.
Our Purpose
The purpose of our program is to provide a Christian atmosphere where we can help children grow in all areas of early childhood development: physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social. Children of every race, color, religion and cultural heritage are welcome at FSYC, and enrollment shall be open to any child, provided the school can meet the needs of that child. The student/teacher ratio will be kept at a low level to facilitate individual attention and instruction of each child.
Our Curriculum
We recognize the need to provide multiple avenues for children to learn and progress. Therefore, children:
* Practice decision making by selecting activities from a variety of learning centers.
* Express themselves creatively through art, music, movement, dramatic play, and use of unstructured materials.
* Develop appropriate concepts and thinking skills through exploration of a variety of concrete materials and activities.
* Experience warm and positive interactions with children and adults.
* Participate in physical activities to develop fine and gross motor skills.
Daily Chapel
Faith School strives to reflect a love of God, love of neighbor, and children of all faiths are welcomed and valued in our program. In chapel each day children are helped to become aware of God’s love, which is reflected through each teacher’s thought, word, and deed in their approach to the children in their care. An emphasis is placed on the development of moral values, such as honesty, responsibility, accountability, kindness, cooperation, fairness, tolerance and understanding.

Moody Family
This is my 7th year to have kids attending Faith School for Young Children, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the school and staff. I love the school’s focus on Christ, how the kids learn through play, the awesome crafts, the music and movement class, and how well my kids become prepared for kinder. The list goes on. But my absolute favorite thing about Faith is that my kids are loved, truly loved. When my very needy 2 year old is having a rough day, the teachers and staff do everything they can to comfort her and help her feel secure. I can leave her without having to worry, because I know she is in the best care possible. And that’s why there is no other option besides Faith!
Lewis Family
As parents to 3 young children, one of our first big decisions for each was where to begin their educational journey. We chose Faith School for Young Children for all 3, and we can say with total certainty that we are so thankful we did. Faith School fosters a caring environment that encourages students to grow academically and socially, with an ethos of faith. The staff and teachers are second to none and truly care for each and every student. Small class sizes provide personal attention to every child, with excellent communication to their families. We simply cannot thank Faith School for the foundation they have given our children, we are so grateful to be a part of the Faith family.
Jones Family
Faith School For Young Children has been such blessing for our family. With our oldest daughter, we were at a couple of schools before finally getting her into Faith. At the other schools, I never felt 100% comfortable or happy about the school, but with Faith I know my children are in the best hands and as a Mom that is all you want for your child. The teachers have all been absolutely wonderful! They have loved my children like their own. I feel like they really know my kids well and know what their needs are. I know what they are doing at school and they can't wait to go to school each day. It is such a wonderful place.

These last five years at Faith have been such a blessing to me. I’ve met many wonderful families, developed lifelong friendships with that I cherish. My students become part of my heart from day one, and I love watching them grow throughout the year. I could not imagine teaching anywhere else, and I look forward to many more years at Faith!
